Damn right. Heavy hardcore from motherfucking Parma, OH. It's not too heavy though, there's a punk edge to some of the riffs in tracks like "We're Not Afraid", and the tempos are generally midpaced to fast without getting overbearing or redundant. Overall it's based around the basic old school style, but the vocals have an almost D.R.I. sort of crossover thing going on. "H.S.B.M. Crew" has a little bit of a One Life Crew vibe to the breakdown and whatnot, but that's not often the case. The title track actually has the most typical old school styled structure to me, and it really works. There are a couple of minutes of Al Pacino samples prior to the aptly titled closing ode to Al Pacino, titled, of course, "Al Pacino" - most of whose lyrics consist of "Al Pacino, he's the best!" The recording's good for a quick EP. It needs a little work since the vocals are a little loud and the guitar tone could be stronger, but the mix gives everything room and I can definitely live with it. The layout keeps it simple with black, white and pink coloring, a sketchy moshpit illustration, basic text, huge thanks lists, and lyrics. The lyrics are succinct and to the point: "This is who we are, Not one of you, We're the ones who fight, Not like you, We are the ones who aren't scared, Just like all of you, This is the path we lead, Not lost like you, We're not afraid, We're in the right, We're not afraid." Get the picture? I'll be really curious to hear more from this band in the future, because with a bit more energy they'll hit the spot. A bit more tempo variation would help a lot, as might slightly shorter tracks that trim what little fat exists. Pretty good stuff, though. All the attitude you'd expect from the locale...
