This quick EP offers up three more tracks from this crusty Swedish hardcore/punk act, and though it suffers from a similar set of problems as their "K?ngor & Shorts" 7", the recording is just enough thicker to really help out and add a little more oomph to the performances, so they come off as a little more convincing from a musical standpoint. The basslines are more evident and the vocals have more of a gruff texture, with slightly thicker guitars as well, so even though it still needs work, it puts the band in a better position. "?nnu en God Aff?r" has a hint of midpaced groove that takes away from its punch and makes the title track sound more forceful musically, and then they close with a cover of Leather Nun's "Ensam I Natt", which is of course a little more rocked out. However, like their other EP that I reviewed, the packaging here basically sucks, using cheesy illustrations of the band that just don't look very interesting at all, as well as a fairly sloppy and bland insert. And I also really don't care for the lyrics either - at least those that are in English (this time translations were not provided). I just can't really tell what they're going for with material like: "Hurt me, beat me, whip me, spit on me, spank me, fuck me, humiliate me, give me pain, give me John Wayne..." But the record does come with a cool little sticker, and it is pressed on clear blue vinyl, so that's a little something. I don't know, maybe it's just my personal tastes, or maybe I've yet to hear this band's finest work, but so far they're not really clicking with me. This is a pretty short 7", so I'm not sure what else to say!?
