Here's another brief EP of dark ambient noise from this odd project, containing one 20+ minute track that I believe contains three segments, "Selective Sound Reuptake Inhibitor", "Obsessive Compulsive Dissonance", and "Figments and Phantasms " (at least those are the "titles" listed in the booklet). The track opens with low, rumbling, sinister drones and some subtle ringing textures underneath, but around seven minutes in shifts over to a lot of pulsating bass that bounces back and forth. There are also a lot of heavy percussive sounds and some minimal feedback spiraling around in the heart of the mix. Five to six minutes later another quick shift takes place and in turn moves over to a slightly distorted, glitchy sort of foreground over panned stutters - quite minimal and spacious. This basically continues with few minor alterations throughout. As with previous RT releases, the CD-R comes in thick packaging xeroxed in dark black ink on thick stock with lots of abstract glitchy textures and minimal text. Everything is hand-numbered out of a mere 18 copies, too. During the first few minutes of this material I was quite intrigued, but in the end I'm a little put off by the quick shifts between the three segments, as well as the overly consistent repetition. Only the opening segment really works well as a persistent sort of droning movement, whereas the latter two chunks aren't as interesting in that regard. The disc does start to change up and become harsher at its end, with a great closing, but a little more thought as far as transitions and looking at the big picture could've made this a little stronger. They're close, still getting there, but close.
