Fuck yeah! 16 more tracks of raging hardcore from Brazil in about 22 minutes! This is good stuff from the band's second full-length. For the most part the songs are fast and to the point, ranging from crossover styled hardcore to more of a melodic old school sound, sometimes bringing in a little bit of a punk or post-hardcore type of influence as well. There's definitely a fun vibe here, there's a lot of energy to the songs, and the band sounds like they're having a good time. I mean, it's pretty straightforward. I don't know what else to say about this. "Praia da Bosta" is sort of goofy with some weird muppet sounding vocals, and they ruin an otherwise raging hardcore track ("Ma??") with some obnoxious repetitive noises in the middle, but there aren't that many low points to be honest. And hell, there are a slew of tracks like "Cobra Criada", "Nazi Tolices", etc. that are catchy as hell and all blow by in about one minute each. The production is pretty damn good. It's somewhat rugged, and I'd like to hear more bass, but the drums sound natural and I like the guitar tone. All they really need to do even out the mix a little bit, really. The CD comes in a full color gatefold digipack with some simple illustrations on the front/back covers. Inside there is an enormous black and white booklet with about a million photos (complete with plenty of stagedives and singalongs), lyrics (all in Portuguese), etc. Not bad at all. I can't really guess at what the lyrics are about, but titles like "Nazi Tolices" would suggest that not everything is lighthearted, I assume there's definitely a serious message on rare occasion. Toss another band on the list of notable Brazilian acts that definitely aren't getting enough attention. Look out for these guys.
