29 tracks, 40+ minutes, raw gore grind. The only thing holding this material back is the recording, specifically the guitar tone. The drums sound pretty good, even though they could be mixed more evenly, but the guitar tone is sort of strange. It's insanely detuned and heavy, but the distortion has a weird ring to it as though it were recorded direct or something. It's not that bad, but it leaves a little to be desired, and as a whole the mix is messy and clouds a lot of the riffs. The vocals range from obscenely low pitch shifted growls to cackling high screams, and the higher screams are mixed above everything else. But a better sound could make a world of different here. The music is nothing new, but they do pack a punch with lots of short tracks that offer up plenty of blasting speeds as well as a slew of crunchy moderately paced breaks. They do the whole "samples introduce most of the songs" routine, but I have to give them credit for picking some of the best and most original samples that I've ever heard, because most of these aren't generic and I've never heard them used before. The music doesn't really offer up anything new, so you should know what you're in for if this is your thing. The layout's not bad for what it is. Sure, there's a silly illustration of a truly gory scene on the cover, and the band logo has goofy looking dismembered women strewn across it, but it's obvious that there's more than a little humor involved here, and they pull that off better than some of these bands. Believe it or not the lyrics are indeed included, but you can probably guess what the songs are dealing with from titles such as "Maggots in Your Womb", "Harbinger of Vaginal Excoriation", or "Punch-Fuck Abomination", among numerous others. Fans of the more totally underground/D.I.Y. aspects of the grind scene, specifically perverse gore grind, would probably have more of a tolerance for this than I. I admit there are some great riffs and songs, but the recording would need to be stepped up for me to really appreciate any of it.
