This one-man band comes from Finland and is handled by the same guy who does the Mutantum project, but rather than any form of experimental noise, this is burly metal with lots of heavy, churning guitars and some deep vocal shouts. Some of the riffing has a mildly rocked out sort of thing going on, kind of like "Wolverine Blues" or something, but heavier and a bit groovier. It's cool, though. I like it. I think it's too rugged for its own good, and the vocals need some work... but as a brief demo this points to some potential in my book. It's all simple and straightforward, but the riffs are good, and with some polishing this could rock. The production is pretty rough, understandable since everything was done by one person, but nonetheless the mix needs to be evened out, and some of the tones could use cleaning up to make this truly effective. The programmed drums sound tolerable but they're overly thick and entirely too loud, I can't hear the bass because it gets lost behind the density of the drums and the texture of the guitars, and the vocals are always layered - which is both annoying and causes them to be too loud as well. I like the guitar tone a lot, though. I'd leave that basically alone, and remix everything else so that it would be clearer, leaving only the screaming vocals and not layering in half-spoken lines or anything. As far as how this thing looks, things I like, things I don't. I like the logo and the simple color scheme, but text is too dominant and there's no visual element that really draws my attention in aside from that. It's also pixilated since it was printed from a home computer, but it looks tolerable. I like the unusual jewel case though, and the white portion of the case is a good match for the layout. But this guy's definitely multitalented, so I can only hope that soon enough he'll fully realize some of his talents with a more professional release.
