Here's a quick EP of metallic hardcore that mixes the 90's style of slightly heavier chugga chugga mosh with the more modern and melodic metal based styles, though never getting too over the top as far as sounding like death metal or anything. The vocals are midrange screams or growls, and there are some melodic Swedish runs, but I wouldn't classify this as that style overall. However, it is really boring. It's very typical, mixing a few hardcore gang backups and breakdowns into your general mix of mosh parts, dissonant chords, stuttered rhythms, tapping riffs, tremolo picking stuff, and all that. But the songs, while not terrible, just aren't written in a memorable way. At the very least the songs are short and they have a decent recording. The bass is defined, the drums and vocals sound okay, and the guitars are clear. The guitar players need to tighten up their chops and probably get some more guts in their tone, but I can live with it. The layout's not that great either. It looks like a hardcore record from 1993 on a third-rate underground label. Sorry, but that's precisely what it looks like! The images aren't crisp, the colors aren't vibrant, they use too many different fonts so things feel slapped together, etc. The lyrics touch on the whole "live each day like it was your last", "win the battle", "stand tall" sort of thing, so use your imagination and you can get the gist of it. I've heard worse, but I honestly just can't understand why so many labels keep sinking money into bands like this. I guess a lot of kids like this stuff, but there's no sense in it... it's just rehashed 10 times over - and with bland songwriting to boot.
