Whew, I feel bad about this, I really do, because I have nothing but respect for this label, and I'm a Los Crudos fan, I really am... but, man, this one's only for the absolute diehard fans. 43 tracks recorded live in Mexico (I believe this was the band's last live performance in Mexico in 1996, as the title would suggest, with 15 bonus tracks recorded live in Mexico in 1992), making for a 68-minute total of two live sets with awful sound quality. There's a lot of tape hiss, but that's not a huge problem, what is a problem is that basically all you can hear are vocals and drums with a lot of dissonant guitar noise in the background. But the drums usually sound like crackles and pops, so basically you can hear the vocals, the cymbals, some caustic guitar sounds, and this weird crackling noise underneath. It's really pretty unbearable. Even though my Spanish is marginal at best, it's cool to hear the band address the crowd before the sets and in between songs since they were of course fluent in Spanish, and during some of the sing-alongs you can tell that the crowd's just going completely apeshit and loving it, and that's great. But honestly, as a listener, this is simply not an enjoyable live CD in any way, shape, or form due to the sound quality. The disc comes in a digipack with a collage of photos and flyers and the logos of all of the labels that co-released the disc on the back cover. It's not the best looking packaging in the world, but it gets the job done and this is D.I.Y. hardcore/punk, so that's not a big deal. Amongst the tracks included are "Achicados", "Crudo Soy", "Sin Caras", "No Te Debo Nada", "Asesinos", and a shitload of others, and all of the lyrics (in Spanish, of course) are included on the black and white insert along with some other Spanish text that seems to deal with some sort of social library reconstruction project/collective or something like that. I really don't know what else to say here, as I honestly can't listen to 68 minutes of this. It's almost impossible to distinguish between most of the songs due to the recording quality, and I'm really and truly not even sure that the most dedicated Los Crudos fans would find a great deal of value in this release. Like I said, I totally respect this label, and more power to 'em for continuing to put out D.I.Y. hardcore/punk, but I simply don't enjoy the quality of this material.
