More Massachusetts rock 'n' roll from the Traktor7 label. Like their labelmates Crash and Burn this is pretty straightforward rock, but it's a little bit rawer and more jagged in the writing department, along with being more rhythmic and discordant at times, with dryer and throatier vocals. The songs tend to run less than three minutes, and they can get pretty catchy (even dropping the illustrious handclap or cowbell on occasion). "I Saw Red" offers up some nice dissonant riffing and slightly heavier rhythms beside cool note-based runs and memorable vocal arrangements. "One White Line" is also pretty basic, kicking out a few jams reminiscent of AC/DC for short periods of time, but definitely not in the grand scheme of things - as there are a few 70's inspired riffs and such to boot. As for the recording, the rhythm section sounds phenomenal, and I like the natural tone of the vocals. I'm not all that into the guitars for some reason, though. They're dirty enough to work, but something's missing... and it might simply be the fact that the bass isn't as central is it probably should be. The disc comes in a high gloss digipack and all of the artwork is illustrated. The cover has a redneck lookin' dude with a couple of shotguns standing in front of a trailer, and the inside has the three band members in a room all hunched over shot or stabbed dead and bleeding. That's all there is to it. No lyrics, no recording information, nothing. Just the lineup and a tracklist on the back cover. I'm not a big fan of the visual presentation as a whole, but it's not bad... just a matter of personal taste I suppose. I'm not so impressed with this disc overall. It's good, but it doesn't interest me that much, and despite the fact that I could see these guys kicking ass, this disc doesn't draw me in or stick with me.
