Grip “Friction Burn Fatal” CD

Grip - Friction Burn FatalSo, I'm not gonna say much because I'm still not particularly motivated at all, but then again, what's the point, right? The tunes are what really matters, so... here are a handful. Grip remains one of my favorite local bands ever, and this EP is jammed with awesome riffs and great songs from that niche of the 90's where metallic hardcore and weirdly melodic not-quite-"emo"-but-still-kinda-sorta-"emo" meshed rather nicely. The band had morphed into the equally awesome (and, sadly, equally short-lived) Dayspring by 1994, so this 1993 EP was their sole release. Great shit. Check out Band to Band for more intricate details of the members' other exploits. Enjoy...

  4. great stuff! New Age was the best at this time.

Grip and Dayspring were both awesome. Didnt Cycle emerge from the ashes of these bands?
