Nice. A killer demo of brutal grindcore with a great mix of tempos and high/low vocals out of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. Their use of really unusual dissonant riffs, crushing breakdowns, and blazing solos lends a death metal feel to the material as well, alongside the scarce appearances of pinch harmonics and tremolo picking. "Life Not for Sale" even has some hardcore influences mixed in. I'd definitely say they display strong songwriting rooted in classic grind with enough modern twists to keep things interesting and not sounding totally rehashed. But in all honesty I wouldn't care if this was totally rehashed because there's not enough true grindcore going around these days, and songs like "Despise for Animal Life" are total classics. The recording is dominated by drums and vocals, and there's not enough density to the percussion. It's not bad, but this stuff would slay with a more effective mix. I think they've nailed an excellent guitar tone that's heavy but very crisp, and the bass tone is also very dense and well placed... if only the vocals were mixed lower and the drums thicker this would be totally blazing perfection. The cassette comes in a one-sided full color sleeve (pro-printed) with simple artwork, a manipulated band photo, and all of the lyrics. Not bad for a real demo, you know, on cassette, like they should be! The lyrics are socio-political but concise and deal with religious opposition, consumerism and greed, racism and prejudice, and even animal rights. "There's no blind justice, There's only a corrupted system, There's no hell and heaven, There's only false prophets, There's no respect and comprehension, There's only racial intolerance, There's no wonderful world, There's only fuckin' life." Great stuff. I certainly hope this band ends up putting out a proper EP or a full-length, because this is very promising.
