Fuck yeah, explosive hardcore/punk from California with a mix of English and Spanish vocals, but you can't make out a word of the garbled shouts/screams against all the tradeoffs anyway (three members do vocals)! Some of the songs are on the crust side of things, while others are a little darker or border on the frantic, and bits head in a punk rock direction as well. It's not totally original, but there's a lot of energy, and small elements are definitely creative - just check out the intro to "Words Turn to Noise" with its thick dissonant chords, or the rocked out feel in the title track. "Alimenta la Bestia Que te Mata" is even an instrumental with acoustic guitars and thundering percussion over distant feedback - very unexpected. The sound is really thick and noisy with dense vocals and pounding bass, so it's not bad, but additional clarity would definitely help. The record comes in a color sleeve with a matte brown insert that's all consistent. The visuals are actually quite metal in nature, while the lyrics are somewhat vague and reference things like pain and lies with a negative outlook on mankind. The content's more than likely a mix of personal and political subjects, and as with some other releases from this label a sticker of the band logo is thrown in to boot. This is a damn nice EP. It needs a little work, but the band's got a ferocious set of tunes here, and I'm hoping to hear more.
