Here's a quick demo of brutal metalcore from Finland that's heavy on the metal, but equally heavy on the thick mosh breaks. They've been compared to All Out War and Kickback, and I could definitely agree with that. They've got the sheer heaviness and simplicity of Kickback happening, but some of the riffs lean towards tremolo picking and Slayer influences, while the vocals slide from straight screaming into near growling territory. The only thing holding this demo back is the recording. In the first track the drums sound almost certainly programmed and the guitar tone has a weird sheen to it, whereas the final two tracks have a more realistic drum tone but a really distant and unnatural guitar distortion and a lack of bass/overall force. I'd assume that the opening track is newer as it's got more metal influences and the overall sound is a bit more consistent, but all three tracks need a lot of work to be truly effective. The CD-R comes in a simple xeroxed sleeve with minimal artwork (a drawing of a skull and a slick logo done in a graffiti style) and text, so it's basic and gets the job done. It wouldn't hurt to do something a bit more in the future, but this is a really short demo so it works. I like the songs, but the sound quality does hinder their performance. "Stabbed in the Back" is totally pissed, and I'm all for that attitude, so I hope to hear more form this band in the future.
