Wow. This is raging Swedish hardcore with some grind thrown into a totally over the top distorted delivery with lots of speed and a multi vocal attack of various levels of all out screaming. The actual song structures are not unlike many of the notable Swedish hardcore/punk bands you're probably familiar with, but Illdåd tends to be faster and rawer. "Modern Slavery" is far more dissonant, even throwing in some faintly melodic lead lines, "Replaced" is straight for the throat hardcore with a memorable attack, etc. There really is a ton of energy here, held back only by an overly raw recording with a ton of treble and midrange that drowns out most of the low-end and lessens the blow. With a thicker, cleaner sound this shit would absolutely crush. The packaging is all black and white with a matte insert inside with additional art and the lyrics. Most of the songs are in Swedish, but they all have brief explanations in English. The songs deal with a variety of topics, from complacency and the dangers of reckless drinking, to attacks on the porn industry, capitalism, and child molesters. "Profit breeds greed - greed breeds injustice. No fucking limits - no wrong or right. Keep the money flow - that's your fight. 'Cash is king' - in it for life..." Keep your eyes peeled for more from this band, they're definitely on the path to shred the competition to bits. Good work. (7/10)
