"Chocolate Rain" = pure gold.

Apparently this is "old news", but I'm always extremely "behind the times" with all of these little "internet phenomenons", so I was just exposed to the glorious might of Tay Zonday yesterday. And yes, I'm fucking sold…

There's also a mildly amusing spoof here (for some reason "The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain…" killed me), and another totally classic gem here (ignore the text, it's stupid, but the music is spot on amazing).

So bad, yet soooooo fuckin' good, ha, ha…

that "8-bit remix" is some TOTALLY spot on, nostalgia-inducing shit. the glory days of C64. that spoof's killer too: "i hate it when the bank closes at 5, only two of the bee gees are still stayin' alive"?! that shit had me cracking up, it's that "goodly bad". and the "original" is just plain SICK, dude. those keyboards made me feel queasy. :| pure gold.

this is an artist at work. its only funny until you suddenly evolve to his level. then it is actually emotionally powerful and moving. im not saying im there yet. but im working on it.

IS THAT MUSIC FROM AN ITALIAN HORROR FILM OR WHAT? Sounds like fucking Fulci's THE BEYOND or something. I can't place it.

Whether someone likes it or not, this guy is talented as fuck.
By the way, someone can use this line for his next rap song…

    is this a guy??!!

@Ingo: i disagree. the guy knows how to play piano but is far from anything special. if you're talking about his voice then, yeah, he's got good potential but as it all stands right now, the guy sucks and he seems to be pleased as fuck about it.

ankehaton, the kid's pure demented bliss, just open your mind. when the beat and the keyboards and the lyrics all fall into place, the sickness stirs something deep inside me. and if you're looking for prowess, then you're just not getting it.

poor kid. he's so ill, he's ahead of his time… as for now his shit just flies by for too many.

i'm totally at a loss. i have no idea what in the hell this dude(?) is doing. after watching that i felt violated, amused and exhausted all at the same time.

Awful. I watched just enough to make the spoof seem funny.

And if any of you are serious about this guy having talent…I'm at a loss. This is American Idol type horse-shit at it's worst. I often wondered how seemingly normal people can watch that show night after night…and care. This is sad/funny for a around 30 seconds and that's it.

Unreal how people like this become famous. William Hung look out…

I never said that he is special. I said he is talented and you can't deny that.
    Whatever, it's wack.

I find this to be the most annoying thing I have heard this year. If he does get signed, he'll be considered a novelty just like Wesley Willis is (and don't tell me he's not…he has no musical value either). There really is no musical genius at work here. He plays keyboards and writes lyrics and sings off key. So do a million other people. Part of the novelty is the the fact that he looks like a 12 year old about to hit puberty.

this song is a little too damn repetative but that rick astley cover is fucking dynamite. What the hell kind of singing IS that!? Fuckin' shames that annoying bastard from american idol who did that ricky martin song.

haha wesley willis……."ROCK AND ROLL McDONALDS" is a true classic

I could listen to WesleyWillis 1000 times before I got as annoyed as listening to this guy. Absolutely horrible. I'm open to great music, whether it be funny, poetic, bad ass, whatever. This just SUCKS.

Just for the record, when I refer to things such as this with phrases like "glorious might" and "I'm fucking sold", I'm being a smartass because I think they're insane. I do not think that guy has any musical value to offer… at all. It's funny, though. Intended or not, it's funny.

  23. HaterMaker said:

The Wesley Willis reference is a good one. It's another nutcase with a keyboard but Willis was the king R.I.P.

Chocolate Rain? More like a chocolate-coated turd. And it's amazing that people are eating it up. I think this guy must've gotten picked on in school and all his pent up emotions have found there way into this 'song'. That said, the lyrics may have something to say but the music is nauseating. He would've be wise to leave it as and piece of poetry. As for this guy's singing 'talent', the pretend, seemingly prepubescent, wanna-be Pavarotti act doesn't cut it. I'm sure the master himself is turning and churning in his grave right about now.
